 MORE MUSINGS

Damn! COVID has now hit two more members of my family. Hopefully, since they both are fully vaccinated, symptoms should not be disabling.

I have a solution for getting people to become more aware of the dangers of this virus and get vaccinated.

The Government should create "Covid, the Barbarian!"  A good cartoonist should draw a repulsive looking monster or a Satan, bent on destroying the world.  Another artist should animate it and movies should be made, focusing on defeating this scourge. (Like was done in WWII with Hitler's image.)

Plaster the city walls with "wanted posters."  Insert service announcements in TV shows and movies. They should stress that we are at war with Covid and must take steps to eliminate him.

We need to get people excited and interested!

A New Dream

In the early hours I had another strange dream.  I was visiting my Social Security friend, Phil Itzkowitz.  I had heard he had been in an accident.
He looked OK to me, in fact, he reached into his side pocket and retrieved a shiny Stradivarius and began to play a Mozart Violin Concerto.  I swear, he played the whole work and I heard it as though I was in a concert hall.  Beautiful!

Comedians at play

Al Franken recently had Robert John Odenkirk as a guest on his Podcast.  They both had been together for a while on SNL (Saturday Night Live.)  Al and Bob reminisced about that time and even remembered some of their skits.  They sure are funny guys.

Robert played Saul on Breaking Bad and later on Better Call Saul.  Two sitcoms that I have never watched.

I try not to watch network TV because of the inappropriate canned laughter and the constant interruption by repetitive advertisements.

They both recommended the viewing of "the greatest skit ever performed": "The Story of Everest."   I tried to find it on You Tube, but was unsuccessful.

They talked a lot about Bob and Ray, a comedic team with great improvisation.  Boston boys who made it big time.  Funny guys!
