ANGER MAKES YOU SCREAM

Last week, while I was waiting in line at our fabulous Bistro, I let an elderly gentleman pass me. He looked a little grumpy, and started to yell at the young cashier.  He wanted the cashier to deduct a $3.00 charge from his bill.  He felt it was made in error.

The young cashier told Mr. Grumpy that all deductions could only be made by his boss.  It was a rule that could not be broken.

This did not please Mr. Grumpy, who began to scream louder and pepper the poor young guy with insults. 

 

The issue was resolved by the manager, but the screamer did not apologize.

ANGER MAKES YOU CRY

I think that aging has mellowed me.  I very rarely get angry about anything... except man's inhumanity to man.  

Can I do anything about it?  No!  And that sometimes makes me cry, especially NOW.

Of course, I can vote, contact my Congressman, write blog entries... but that's not enough.  If I were 30 years younger, I could get into politics and maybe help make the future a decent time for my progeny.
