Amazing Things
My favorite podcast/show on Sundays is "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me." They usually mention situations that are very interesting to me, such as:
Robot Breaks 7-year-old Boy's Finger
TASS reported that during a Moscow chess match between a 7-year-old boy and a robot, the boy did not move quickly enough for the grouchy robot, so it grabbed the child's finger and broke it.
After a quick splint fix, the boy continued on with the contest.
Topless Dolphin Rider in the Netherlands
A Lady Godiva look-alike mounted a beached dolphin as people tried to push it back into the sea. She almost made her desired trip to Davy Jones' locker, but local police and angry citizens stopped her.
Pink Sauce
In the Middle East, pasta with pink sauce is very popular. One blends tomato and cream sauce, and floods pasta with the resulting pink-colored concoction. I'm told it is very delicious.
Carly Pii (pea) as a four-year experienced "chef" developed a sauce out of honey, chili, garlic, sunflower seed oil and dragon fruit (and perhaps some water) and called it "Pink Sauce."
She marketed it (without FDA approval at $20 a bottle and has sold a lot of it through Tik-Tok. Some folks have not been happy with their purchases. Instead of bottles they got their sauce in paper cups and the fluid had dried up.
Although bad-mouthing the FDA, she did make a few changes and people are continuing to order it, making Carly a rich chef.
Let me leave you with a stupid "dad joke" -
Where can a person buy an axe?
At a "chopping center," of course.
